Jasmine Dhuga is a creative young mind who grew up in Windsor, Ontario. She has had a passion for writing for as long as she can remember, spending most of her childhood trips documenting everything she did and saw in a travel journal. As she grew older, she started exploring short stories and poems, receiving 3rd place in the Windsor Poetry Contest of 2011 through the Canadian Federation of University Women. When Jasmine was just 12 years old, she had the inspiration to write novels. After 6 years and many, many revisions, she finally published Behind Closed Doors. Since the publication of her novel, Jasmine has been working hard on its sequel in addition to pursuing her career aspirations. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Behaviour, Cognition, Neuroscience at the University of Windsor, where she conducted research on Parkinson’s disease and completed her thesis on rat motor behaviour. Additionally, Jasmine has worked with psychology faculty members to examine performance validity on cognitive testing using experimental malingering. When she is not writing or studying, you can catch her cozying up in front of the fireplace with a good book or traveling the world far and wide.
